A Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and Company Secretary by training, M P Vijay Kumar ( MPV), is the Executive Director and Group CFO of Sify Technologies. MPV is also an Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee on the Board of Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, Wheels India Limited, an Independent Director on the Boards of Heritage Foods Limited, ONGC Petro additions Limited and Chairman of Geojit Investments Limited. He earlier served as Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Life Insurance Corporation of India ( LIC) and Thejo Engineering Limited.
MPV serves as a Member of the IFRS Interpretation Committee of International Accounting Standards Board. He served as Member of IFRS Advisory Council of the IFRS Foundation, London, Council Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (2016-2022), was Chairman of Accounting Standards Board and Ex Officio Member of National Financial Reporting Authority for the period 2019-2022.
MPVs early professional engagements include being a Partner at Chartered Accountants’ firm, Yoganandh & Ram. Prior to that, he headed the Investment Banking portfolio in addition to being Company Secretary of Sundaram Finance Services Ltd., Chennai, the Investment Banking arm of Sundaram Finance Limited.
